STITCHED
BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS
Located along the beaches of Barbados, stitched is a luxury music destination and resort, accompanied by housing for the resort’s staff. The project addresses the connection between the city and the ocean, as the project approaches the water each piece is stitched together to create the whole. In order to bridge the gap between inland and the coast the project decreases in scale and changes use as it zig-zags down toward the oceans edge. By developing the resort in conjunction with access to jobs and housing, the goal is to introduce a new architectural prototype while aiding the community of Bridgetown, Barbados. The projects facade draws inspiration from wind blown sand and the smoothness of pebbles found on the beach.
