A TOKYO BONSAI

This project was completed while studying and living in Japan. The art of caring for bonsai fascinated me. While in Japan, I cared for one myself to learn about the intricate and enduring process.

Bonsai caretakers commitments to the longevity of the art is what drew me in. 

This triptych is a series of zero degree axonometric drawings of the space and tools dedicated to nurturing bonsai. The Japanese quote at the right says, “It is only with fashioned care and love that one can thrive.”
